Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is reported to be close to signing Goias defender Leyrielton.
According to reports in Brazil the discussions regarding the future of Leyrielton are said to be progressing well and a deal for the full-back could be agreed on Friday.
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has also been linked with a move for Juventus centre-back Jean-Alain Boumsong as he bids to strengthen his defence.
However, Leyrielton looks set to become the next arrival at Craven Cottage as Goias sports manager Orislei Santos has revealed the necessary paper work has been sent to England.
“We have already sent all the documentation that is necessary for doing everything correctly,” Santos told the Esmeraldino website.
“There are some things that we haven’t arranged yet but besides that I think if everything goes on as it has been happening until now we could maybe announce the transfer on Friday.”
