Fulham striker Collins John has signed a three-month loan deal with Leicester in the Championship.

John was thought to be the target of a number of Championship clubs, but he becomes Leicester manager Gary Megson’s first signing since taking the Foxes reins in September.

The 22-year-old forward has joined the Foxes in time for Tuesday night’s clash with Sheffield United at the Walkers Stadium.

John has struggled for first-team football at Fulham under boss Lawrie Sanchez with David Healy and Diomansy Kamara preferred up front for the Premier League side.

The Dutchman has made 108 appearances for Fulham, since signing from FC Twente in 2004 when he ws 18, and has scored 23 goals in that time.
