David Healy has seen enough in the first week of the campaign to convince him Fulham will not struggle this season.

They left it late to ensure survival last term but a narrow defeat to Arsenal and victory over Bolton have given Lawrie Sanchez’s men cause for optimism.

“The lads struggled a bit last year but hopefully with what they had last year and what the new players have added, there’s going to be more then enough to compete in this league,” said Healy, the summer signing from Leeds.

“We’re looking forward to the challenge and there’s a big game on Saturday against Middlesbrough and hopefully we can have the same outcome.”
