Fulham striker Bjorn Runstrom has joined German side Kaiserslautern on a season-long loan deal, the Premier League club have confirmed.

The Swede has made just two appearances for The Cottagers since his £700,000 move from Hammarby in July 2006.

A loan spell at Luton Town for the second half of last season saw the striker claim two goals in eight games, but he has now been farmed out again by Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez.

The London club have worked hard to strengthen their front-line over the summer, with Diomansy Kamara and David Healy both arriving since the end of last season.

Even with the sale of Heidar Helguson, Sanchez seemingly felt there was no place for Runstrom in his new look Cottagers squad.
