David Healy’s agent insists the Leeds United striker’s wife is not holding up a move to Fulham.
The Northern Ireland ace has been strongly tipped to be reunited with his former international boss Lawrie Sanchez at Craven Cottage.
Leeds are resigned to losing Healy following relegation to League One, while Wigan Athletic and Wolves have also been linked with the 27-year-old.
Fulham remain favourites to sign the current Euro 2008 qualifying top scorer, but rumours have claimed that Healy’s wife is against moving to London.
However, the ex-Manchester United youngster’s agent Stephen Hughes has rubbished such suggestions, insisting any transfer is on hold due to Leeds waiting to come out of administration.
“Emma (Healy’s wife) is dedicated to helping David’s career,” Hughes told the Daily Express. “I don’t know where this rumour came from that she doesn’t fancy London. David knows and respects Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez and his ideas from their time together on the international scene. We can do nothing for the time being and that’s why he is away on holiday.”
