Fulham are keen on signing Blackburn striker Jason Roberts, according to the Sun.

Lawrie Sanchez is eager to add more goals to his attack ahead of the forthcoming Premier League season and has been heavily linked with a move for Northern Ireland striker David Healy. He is interested in buying Roberts from Blackburn and Fulham are close to tabling a bid of around £2.5m.

The powerful striker scored five goals in as many appearances at the end of last season having returned from a broken foot but, with Rovers also planning to add striking reinforcements, Roberts could find his first-team opportunities limited. A move back to London, where he started his career with Hayes, could appeal.
