Steven Davis is set to join Fulham from Aston Villa for £4m, according to reports from the Midlands.
The Northern Ireland international is poised to become Lawrie Sanchez’s second signing of the summer by following his international team-mate Aaron Hughes in leaving Villa Park for Craven Cottage. The midfielder, who joined Villa in 2002, has made 102 appearances and scored nine goals since breaking into the Villa first-team picture in 2004. He was voted the club’s player of the year in 2005-06 at the end of his first season as a professional.
