Mark “Crossley has signed a one-year deal at Oldham Athletic after being released by Fulham.

The former Fulham shot-stopper is likely to be the number one keeper at Boundary Park next season and will combine his playing commitments with a role on the coaching staff. The former Welsh international made 23 first-team appearances in four years at Craven Cottage, including keeping a memorable clean sheet in the famous win over local rivals Chelsea in 2006.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday – scoring an equaliser against Southampton after being sent forward for a late corner. The experienced goalkeeper has made almost 500 senior appearances for six clubs.
