Chelsea are ready to hijack Fulham’s move for Korean star Lee Chun-Soo in a transfer battle fuelled by rival sponsors, according to the Sun.

Fulham recently unveiled a two-year shirt deal with LG Electronics, while Blues are backed by another Korean firm Samsung. Both clubs are under pressure to sign a Korean — with LG thought to have insisted on it as part of their £6million deal.

Fulham looked set to land Ulsan Tigers midfielder Lee, 25, who is rated one of the few players in South Korea’s KJ League capable of cutting it in the Premiership. But Chelsea intervened — apparently after a request by Samsung — and Fulham have now switched their attentions to Reading’s Korean winger Seol Ki-Hyeon.
