Jimmy Bullard is ready to come back and fire Fulham up the table next season.

The Whites were in serious trouble even after sacking Chris Coleman before a shock win over Liverpool secured the Premier League status for another year ahead of today’s trip to Middlesbrough.

The midfield ace has been out since dislocating his knee against Newcastle last September in only his fourth game for the London club but Bullard told the Sunday People that he is desperate to hit the ground running next season.

He said: “I’ve been around the boys all the time but it’s a nightmare not being able to do anything. It’s frustrating. I’ve tried to have a laugh and a crack to get involved all the time. But we had been low on confidence and had to deal with the change of manager. But once I come back I’ll be fired up to go all out to play for the club again. I’ll just be happy to be playing again after so long.”
