Liam Rosenior has revealed his disappointment with the away fans’ reaction following Fulham’s goalless draw at Wigan at the weekend.

The Fulham full back was taken aback to the fury of the travelling support, who showed their displeasure at Chris Coleman’s decision to shut up shop and take a point at the JJB Stadium. Rosenior told Fulham’s official website:

“It may not have been the greatest game to watch but it’s important to understand that we’re doing our best for the club. “I love Fulham Football Club, my Dad was here and I’ve been here since I was a boy. I  was down after the game in the dressing room because regrettably when I went to clap the fans at the end of the game a few things were said which I thought were harsh on the lads.

“All I want to do is play for the club and do my best and to get a reaction like that was disappointing. The fans travelled a long way and paid a lot of money to come and see us, but it’s important to understand that all the players give their all, week in, week out. We didn’t get the win on Saturday, but we earned an important point. We want to get as many points as we can. Our target at the start of the season was the top ten and that’s still attainable.”
