Fulham striker Vincenzo Montella has urged Fulham boss Chris Coleman to pick him for Saturday’s Premiership match against Portsmouth.

Montella has missed The Cottagers’ last three matches through suspension but the striker is hoping to start against Pompey.

And the Italy international, currently on loan to the West London club from Roma, believes his performances in training have pushed his claims.

“I have been training well during the past few weeks,” said Montella.

“I feel good enough to start matches again. I am aiming to show what I am capable of.”
