Fulham captain Michael Brown will miss out on a reunion with his former Tottenham team-mates after being banned having picked up his fifth booking of the season at Bolton.

The midfielder was cautioned by Howard Webb at the Reebok Stadium when he brought down Nicolas Anelka to concede the penalty from which Bolton took the lead. Brown, who replaced Luis Boa Morte as the club’s skipper shortly after arriving from White Hart Lane, will have to watch from the sidelines as Chris Coleman’s side take on Spurs in Sunday’s FA Cup fifth round tie.
