Fulham defender Niclas Jensen has revealed that he has left Craven Cottage and returned to his former club FC Copenhagen.

The 32-year-old Denmark international has not played a Premiership game for the Cottagers for almost 12 months and his only appearance for Chris Coleman’s side this term came in the Carling Cup defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

“You could almost call FC Copenhagen a family company and it’s a real pleasure to be there,” Jensen told Berlingske Tidende.

“It’s a young club that has only existed since 1992 and the club is only just starting to write its own history.

“The club has become more stable these last five years and players and managers are going back to it.

“I wasn’t very happy with the working conditions at Fulham, so I am happy to move on with my career.”

Jensen made 18 appearances for the Cottagers following his arrival from Borussia Dortmund 18 months ago.
