Vincenzo Montella says the main obstacle he has had to overcome in England has been the British weather.

The Italian striker joined Fulham on loan from Roma in the summer and he has bagged three goals inside a week.

Montella is delighted with the warmth of his welcome from the Craven Cottage faithful but admits the British weather is harsher than that in the Italian capital.

“In Rome it is difficult for me to go out and walk in the streets without being recognised,” he said. “I’m not recognised in London but I’m finding it hard getting used to the weather. There has been a lot of strong wind. It’s clear Fulham have healthy ambitions and it’s very gratifying to hear the fans get behind me. Even before I stepped on the pitch they were singing my name.”
