Fulham are again being linked to a possible January transfer raid for La Liga Levante midfielder Felix Ettien.

Ettien, out of contract at the end of this season and still to agree a new contract with his club, is free to speak to other clubs from the 1st Jan.

He is quoted as saying “Now my priority is to play for Levante, but if agreement [on a new contract] cannot be reached, I will study other options.”

Other options are believed to include the Premiership with Fulham being noted as a leading contender for the Ivorian’s signature.

A scout for The Cottagers watched the 27-year-old in the 1-1 draw against Barcelona last week.

Levante are not keen to lose the midfielder who is a fans favourite but insiders are saying that contract talks are not going well with the player and club miles apart.

Levante president Pedro Villarroel said. “This is normal. We are still calm as we have several months yet.”

“Our objective is to seal a deal with Ettien, but not with just any salary.”
