Tottenham are ready to revive their longstanding interest in Fulham winger Luis Boa Morte, according to the Sunday People.

Spurs are set to submit a bid for the Portuguese international in January after missing on moves for Damien Duff and Stewart Downing. Fulham rejected a bid for their captain from Tottenham in the summer but the north London club believe the Whites are ready to negotiate the terms of Boa Morte’s exit when the transfer window reopens after his indifferent displays this season.

Boa Morte signed a new deal in the summer designed to ward off potential suitors but Chris Coleman may be persuaded to think again should Tottenham – or another interested club – matched Fulham’s £6m valuation. Spurs could make their offer even more tempting by offering a player in exchange with Wayne Routledge, who is believed to be on Coleman’s shortlist of potential incomings, a possibility.
