New England Revolution midfielder and USA World Cup star Clint Dempsey has been linked to a tranfer to Fulham.
It is being claimed in The Mirror that The Cottagers are prepared for a £2 million raid.
Dempsey has said that his Sunday championship game against the Houston Dynamo could be his last in America before heading to Europe.
“I want to move on to Europe and try myself,” said Dempsey. “I got some interest, got a little bit of buzz during the World Cup, and that’s always been my goal. It’s looking good, but there a lot of things that still has to happen.”
The decision is not a knock against the MLS, says Dempsey, but recognition that he needs to take an opportunity to move into Europe.
