Portsmouth will be looking for home comforts against Fulham at Fratton Park.

Pompey were outclassed 3-0 at Manchester United last time out and have lost their last four away games in all competitions.

Fulham meanwhile have improved away from home this term and have gone four league games unbeaten following their opening weekend thrashing at Old Trafford.

The Cottagers arrive on the South Coast in buoyant mood following Claus Jensen’s strike against Everton last weekend giving them a welcome three-point haul.

Portsmouth will be hoping to leapfrog Bolton back into third in the table, although a win for Fulham would move them level with Pompey in the standings.

Harry Redknapp will definitely be without defender Glen Johnson (thigh) and Linvoy Primus (hamstring) for the visit of the Londoners, although Gary O’Neil (hamstring) is hopeful of being fit.

Kanu or Tresor Lomana Lua Lua are likely to be recalled up front after played Benjani in a lone striker role against The Red Devils.

The game is likely to come too soon for Fulham’s Philippe Christanval, although Mark Pembridge and Simon Elliott will play no part.

Michael Brown (ankle) and Jimmy Bullard are definitely out, but Papa Bouba Diop is expected to be fit after recovering from a thigh strain.

Fulham are likely to continue with their 4-5-1 formation with Brian McBride leading the line with Tomasz Radzinski and Wayne Routledge providing the width.
