Luis Boa Morte could be out for six weeks after suffering a suspected fractured cheekbone in Fulham’s 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Portugal international picked up the injury after an accidental collision with Fulham team-mate Heidar Helguson.

Boa Morte was hurt in clearing the ball off the line and Cottagers boss Chris Coleman confirmed the problem for the attacker.

“We think Luis has cracked his cheekbone,” said Coleman.

“There is a dent in his cheek and it has to be pushed back out so it could be three weeks or it could be six. He may have to play with a mask.

“He went for the ball with Helguson, but if they both hadn’t gone for it, it would have been a goal.

“But again, we have paid the price for it. So there are plusses and minuses.”
