Fulham boss Chris Coleman is hoping to hold talks with Moritz Volz over a new deal.

The German’s current contract expires at the end of the season and he is free to speak to foreign clubs in January if he does not agree a new deal.

Volz has showed his worth to the side by playing as a makeshift midfielder in the last few games and Coleman is determined to keep hold of the former Arsenal youngster.

“He’s a young player we desperately want to keep but the deal’s got to be fair to both sides,” said Coleman.

“We’ve got to go back to the table with him and his agent and try to sort something out.”
