Chris Coleman could be axed by Fulham this summer after The Guardian reported that the club have hired a headhunter to consider managerial replacements.

The agency was tasked with head-hunting a manager of repute before the end of the season and, according to a source, “they have not been told to stop head-hunting and the brief is still on their desk”.

Coleman was under pressure before a memorable derby win over Chelsea in March eased relegation fears although senior figures at Craven Cottage have expressed concern about a lack of experience in Fulham’s coaching set-up, pinpointing the role of assistant manager Steve Kean.
