Fulham have tabled a £4m bid for Chelsea defender Robert Huth, according to a report in the The Sun.

Chris Coleman is chasing centre backs this summer after not being convinced by Zat Knight’s form and releasing Alain Goma. Chelsea are reportedly ready to listen to offers for Huth, who has already turned down a move to Wigan. The 21 year-old wants to move on for first-team football as he seeks to sustain an international career having been named in the Germany squad for the forthcoming World Cup finals.

Coleman is still locked in negotiations with Chelsea over a possible permanent deal for left back Wayne Brown, who spent the final four months of last season on loan at Craven Cottage. The Blues are not yet prepared to sell the England international.
