Fulham are considering signing Arsenal centre back Sol Campbell for around £4m, according to a Daily Express report.

The Gunners are willing to let the former England international leave if they receive an attractive offer and Fulham are believed to be one of the frontrunners to sign the experienced defender. Campbell is keen to stay in the capital and is understood to be excited about being a first-team regular under Chris Coleman even if he will have to take a hit on his £50,000-a-week wage packet.

The Whites will face significant competition to sign Campbell, who controversially moved across north London on a Bosman in 2001. Newcastle United are expected to try and match Fulham’s financial package to tempt him to the north east whilst Inter Milan and Fenerbahce head a queue of continental suitors.
