Fulham have made an approach for Leyton Orient defender Gabriel Zakuani.
The 19 year-old centre back starred as Orient knocked the Premiership side out of the FA Cup in January and Fulham have been closely monitoring his progress since then. Zakuani helped the O’s earn promotion from League Two and manager Martin Ling is keen to hold onto one of his best young players.
Ling told the Barking and Dagenham Recorder: “Yes, it’s true there is some interest from Fulham at the moment. But I would love to keep Gaby here. Make no mistake, I would rather Gaby stay with us, because we think we are on a roll and we can go places. But if someone was to come in with a substantial offer, then there is no way we could turn it down.”
