Out-of-favour Fulham defender Niclas Jensen could be offered a return to former club FC Copenhagen.

Jensen only moved to Craven Cottage last summer in a £750,000 switch from Borussia Dortmund, but has struggled for regular playing time.

The loan signing of Wayne Bridge during January’s transfer window has ensured Jensen has not appeared for Fulham over the past three months.

With Fulham boss Chris Coleman hoping to land Bridge permanently, Jensen’s prospects in the capital would reduce even further.

His situation has sparked interest from his native Denmark, with FC Copenhagen reportedly considering a bid for the 31-year-old.

The left back spent a decade with the club earlier in his career and may now be handed the chance of a summer return home.
