Fulham are ready to offer Brian McBride a two-year contract. The US World Cup striker is a free agent at the end of the season but is close to an agreement to stay at Craven Cottage.
He has also been targeted by Everton, where he spent 10 weeks on loan in 2003, but Fulham will give him two more seasons while the Merseysiders were thinking in terms of one.
