Collins John believes that Fulham’s win over Chelsea has secured their Premiership status.
The Cottagers had been flirting with relegation, although Sunday’s victory has lifted them 11 points clear of the drop zone.
John is adamant that the threat of going down has now evaporated, as he declared: “Of course we’re going to stay up. We won’t let this club suffer any damage by going down.
“We were never going to go down. The boys in the dressing room have been annoyed because we’ve not played well in the past and yet we dug in against Chelsea to take three points.
“It was our best performance of the season team-wise because we won against the champions – the best team in the country. To beat them 1-0 shows what we are capable of.”
