Besiktas are willing to let Fulham target Ahmed Hassan leave the club.

Hassan is coming to the end of his current contract and Besiktas insist they will not be offering him a new deal, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.

The midfielder has already informed the club that he would like to move on and Besiktas will not stand in his way.

Fulham are reported to be on Hassan’s trail after being impressed by his performances at the African Cup of Nations earlier this month.

There are sure to be no shortage of offers for Hassan as he will be available on a free transfer, with the Istanbul-based club not renewing his contract.

“If Hassan wants to go, he can,” said Besiktas sporting director Erdil Arpaci.

“His contract will run out anyway. We won’t be offering him a new deal at the end of the season.”

Hassan has been expelled from the Besiktas first-team squad after returning to training late.

The 30-year-old was given a few extra days off after returning from the African Cup of Nations, but he failed to show up on Monday, as he was expected to.

The club have now decided to throw Hassan out of the first-team squad and he has been forced to train with the youth team.
