Norwich have signed Fulham defender Zesh Rehman on loan for the rest of the season. The Championship club have moved before the January transfer window closes to sign the 22-year-old to boost the Carrow Road club’s backline.

The former Craven Cottage trainee last spent time on loan two seasons ago with another Championship club in Brighton & Hove Albion.

Rehman has played just five times for Chris Coleman’s side this term and Canaries boss Nigel Worthington will hope the versatile defender’s presence can help boost the East Anglian club’s play-off hopes.

“Rehman is a very good young player with Premiership games under his belt,” Worthington told the club’s official website.

“At six foot, two inches, he gives you a bit more strength and power.”
