Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is set for a shock move to Fulham, according to The Sun.

The Middlesbrough striker has been offered an 18-month contract.

Boss Chris Coleman will match Hasselbaink’s £40,000-a-week wages.

The Dutchman is set to switch before the transfer window closes tomorrow night.

Hasselbaink has scored three goals in Boro’s last four games but he is 33, his contract is up in the summer and he will not be offered a new deal at the Riverside.

Yet boss Steve McClaren will be sorry to lose the former Chelsea forward.

He said: “I want Jimmy to stay because he is doing what he does best — being in the right place at the right time.

“It can’t have been easy for him this last month.

“I’ve been playing Yakubu and Mark Viduka but Jimmy has never let us down.

“It has been an emotional period for him.”
