Fulham boss Chris Coleman is making a shock move for Liverpool left-back Djimi Traore to fill his problem position, according to the Daily Mirror.

Coleman hopes to wheel and deal in the window to bring in a new player or two – and he will have to find around £2 million for Anfield squad man Traore.

The tall French-African has been battling for a game in Rafa Benitez’s side with Steven Warnock and John Arne Riise and may fancy more regular football.

Fulham are desperate for a naturally left-sided defender.
