Fulham are reported to have tabled a bid for Portsmouth’s Matt Taylor.

Pompey have decided to listen to offers for Taylor as they look to recoup some money from their recent dealings.

The news of Taylor’s availability has alerted Fulham boss Chris Coleman, who is believed to be a big fan of the former England Under-21 international.

Coleman is keen to bolster his defence and sees Taylor as the ideal man to solve his problematic left back position.

Wigan have also been linked with Taylor, but it appears Fulham are leading the chase for the former Luton star’s signature.

Taylor’s agent Willie McKay revealed Fulham had made a move for the player and that it was up to the two clubs to agree a deal.

“An offer has been put into Portsmouth for Matty Taylor from Fulham,” McKay said. “We are now waiting to see the outcome of the offer and it is up to both clubs before anything else can happen.”
