Sylvain Legwinski’s agent Craig Hutchinson is not surprised to see the Fulham midfielder being linked with a move to Birmingham City.

The Frenchman was available for transfer in the summer but ended up staying at Craven Cottage and has featured in the last three games for the West Londoners.

Norwich City and Leeds United have been interested in snapping up the 32-year-old, but he still has a number of Premiership admirers.

“This is a player who was available for transfer in the summer,” Hutchinson exclusively revealed to skysports.com.

“I’ve not had any discussions with Birmingham recently but I suppose they are obliged to contact the club first.

“When I spoke to Birmingham last summer, they were keen. They liked the player a lot, but were concerned about a lack of games.

“So there may be some truth in the speculation as in the summer they said they liked the player.

“He’s not the type to sit tight and pick up his wages. He’s certainly not a money-grabbing mercenary.

“He just needs to be playing regularly at his age.

“He’s got 18 months on his contract but, if others are preferred to him [he may need to leave]. He just needs to fight for his position in a sporting sense.

“There’s four other Premiership clubs who are looking at him.

“Also, Norwich definitely made an enquiry and Leeds have been interested.”
