Steed Malbranque is ready to boost Fulham by signing a new deal and snubbing Manchester City.

The French midfielder is expected to bury the hatchet with boss Chris Coleman and agree a three-year contract.

Malbranque, 25, turned down a £3.5million move to City in the summer and Stuart Pearce was ready to launch a second bid in the transfer window.

But despite an uneasy relationship between Malbranque and Coleman last season, the Frenchman has been back to his best in recent weeks and Fulham are confident he will commit himself to a new deal.
