Fulham boss Chris Coleman is understood to have joined the chase for in-demand Ajax midfielder Steven Pienaar.
The South Africa international looks set to leave the Dutch side in a cut-price deal after refusing to extend his current contractl beyond the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is being trailed by clubs throughout Europe, including Liverpool, Celtic and Arsenal.
Manchester City are also in the running to sign Pienaar after failing with a summer move for the versatile midfielder.
The player is said to favour a move to England as he is keen to test himself in the Premiership after becoming disillusioned with life at the Amsterdam ArenA.
