Fulham boss Chris Coleman is hoping to splash the cash when the January transfer window opens in order to freshen up his squad.

The Cottagers have improved of late, following back-to-back home victories, after bagging just one win from their first eight Premiership games, but Coleman is still looking to bolster his numbers.

Coleman has revealed the club have some funds available to strengthen and that they will be prepared to get out the chequebook should the right player become available.

“We’ve got a little bit to spend, not a great deal but there’s a little bit there,” explained Coleman to Sky Sports News.

“We’ve been looking long and hard and have identified some players we want to bring in and we will try to do that.

“It’ll be important as well. We want to bring some fresh faces in and mix it up a little bit.

“But as we’ve found out before wanting and getting are two different things so we’ll wait and see.”
