Fulham midfielder Claus Jensen shone as Denmark inflicted England’s worst international defeat in 25 years by beating Sven-Goran Eriksson’s side 4-1 last night.

The midfield playmaker, who has seen injuries ravage his career at Craven Cottage since he joined on a free transfer from Charlton, was on imperious form as the hosts overwhelmed England with precise passing and increased intensity. Fulham’s new signing Niclas Jensen also impressed at left back, which must have been an encouraging sign for Chris Coleman.
