Fulham striker Elvis Hammond is reported to have converted his loan move to Leicester City to a permanent deal worth around £300,000.

Hammond joined the Fulham academy after playing with the likes of Marcel Desailly, George Weah, Roger Milla and Ade Pele in Ghana.

After making only two appearances in 2004/05 he was loaned to Duch outfit RBC Roosendaal on transfer deadline day in January of that campaign. Hammond was then loaned to Leicester City for the first half of 2005/06.

Leicester are now preparing for David Connolly moving to Wigan and as Elvis now seems unlikely to make the breakthrough with Fulham a transfer to Leicester makes sense for him. Hammond’s agent Tony Finnigan confirmed “A deal is agreed, we now just have to sort out the contract.”
