Fulham have responded to the injury problems besetting both their senior goalkeepers by investigating a 6-month loan deal with Aston Villa’s third choice keeper Stefan Postma.

The 29-year-old Dutchman joined Villa from De Graafschap in 2002 but has slipped to third-choice after the signing of Stuart Taylor in the summer. He has made just thirteen first-team appearances in three years and has spoken publicly of his desire to play regular football. Reports from Holland suggested he may return home to join NEC Nijmegen but Fulham could offer him a chance to stay in the Premier League.
