Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s agent has rejected reports linking the Middlesbrough man with a surprise move to Fulham.

Reports on Friday suggested that Fulham were lining up a move to bring the former Chelsea man back to West London.

Fulham are in the market for a new striker having sold Andy Cole to Manchester City and Hasselbaink has been mentioned as a possible target.

Hasselbaink enjoyed a fine first season with Boro last term netting 13 goals to help them win a place in next season’s Uefa Cup.

The player’s representative Humphrey Nijman has dismissed the Fulham link and insists that Hasselbaink is happy at Middlesbrough.

“Jimmy has one more year to go on his contract at Middlesbrough and he is happy there,” Nijman said.

“There has been no interest from Fulham and I think it is paper talk.

“Jimmy is ready and waiting for the new season to start.”
