Fulham have made an enquiry for Juventus midfielder Enzo Maresca.

The Italian has already had a spell in England with West Brom and Cottagers boss Chris Coleman is a keen admirer of his talents.

Well-informed sources claim the West London outfit have submitted an official request to Juve to sign the player, possibly on a long-term loan basis.

The Bianconeri signed Maresca permanently a few days ago after he was jointly-owned with Fiorentina.

However, coach Fabio Capello is unlikely to count on the 25-year-old as a first team regular next term.

Juventus are believed to be willing to off-load him but could consider using Maresca as a bargaining chip in their own bids during the summer spending.

Consequently, although they are considering Fulham’s request, they are unlikely to rush into a decision.

The Turin giants could even decide to cash in on Maresca by selling him for a fee of around €4 million if they decide this is the best course of action.
