Fulham’s tour of America got off to the worst possible start as the Whites were beaten by Columbus Crew. Midfielder Domenic Mediate punished a dreadful mix-up beaten Jaroslav Drobny and Zesh Rehman to secure victory over the Premiership side.

The Crew had gone in front in the seventeenth minute when Marcus Storey guided home a cross from Danny Szetela. Fulham equalised just before half time when Chris Wingert turned a ball from Luis Boa Morte into his own net. Ahmad Elrich spurned a great chance to put Fulham ahead in the second half, missing a one-on-one by shooting wide.
