Lee Clark will leave Fulham this summer after the club confirmed that he will be released at the end of his current contract.

The 32 year-old, who has struggled for fitness this season, leaves after six seasons at Craven Cottage having helped the Whites win promotion to the top flight under Jean Tigana. Chris Coleman had previously suggested that a one-year extension might be possible if the current club captain were amenable to dropping his wage demands but a deal was not done. Clark has already been linked with a move to newly-promoted Wigan and a return to hometown club Newcastle.

Jerome Bonnissel has also been released after failing to make an appearance this term and seeing his strong start at left back ravaged by persistent injury problems. Fulham have also released youngsters Malik Buari, Sean Doherty, Ross Flitney, Alex Lawless and Stuart Noble. Buari made a handful of first appearances last season whilst goalkeeper Flitney has spent time on loan with Doncaster and Yeading.
