Fulham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop wants to commit his future to Fulham despite having attracted interest from across Europe, according to his agent.

The Senegalese midfielder has enjoyed a fantastic first season in English football, scoring seven goals in 35 appearances since moving to Craven Cottage from Lens last summer. Diop is ready to open discussions over a possible new deal with the Whites and ignore offers from elsewhere, according to his agent Willy McKay.

“I have been contacted by clubs from Spain, Italy and England regarding Papa,” McKay said. “But rather than thinking of a move away Papa is hoping to agree a new deal at Fulham. I have spoken to Chris Coleman and Lee Hoos about a new deal for Papa and Papa is happy to stay at Fulham.”

“Papa is enjoying life at Fulham and he would be happy to extend his contract. He is enjoying his football and he believes that Fulham are going places after a good end to the season.”
