Fulham ace Papa Bouba Diop is ready to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage despite attracting interest from a host of other clubs.

The giant midfielder has enjoyed a fine first season with Fulham and his performances have attracted the interest of a host of clubs.

Diop has proven to be Fulham’s most valuable player and he has quickly established himself in The Premiership.

The player’s agent Willie McKay has revealed that a number of clubs across Europe have contacted him about Diop’s possible availability, but he insists the midfielder is happy to stay at Fulham and is hoping to win a new deal at Craven Cottage.

“I have been contacted by clubs from Spain, Italy and England regarding Papa,” McKay said.

“But rather than thinking of a move away Papa is hoping to agree a new deal at Fulham.

“I have spoken to Chris Coleman and Lee Hoos (chief executive) about a new deal for Papa and Papa is happy to stay at Fulham.

“Papa is enjoying life at Fulham and he would be happy to extend his contract.

“He is enjoying his football and he believes that Fulham are going places after a good end to the season.”
