Fulham striker Andy Cole admits he is feeling the physical demands of another season of Premiership toil.

The 33-year-old hit-man has often ploughed a lonely furrow for Fulham this term and concedes that the role has left him jaded.

Cole has proven he still has the capabilities to perform at the top level but is now considering hanging up his boots at the end of next season.

The former Manchester United favourite, who top scored this season with 13 goals, admits that physically he is feeling the strain after nursing an Achilles injury.

“I’ll make a decision towards the end of next season,'” said Cole.

“I don’t feel physically good.

“I’ve found playing up front by myself very difficult. But the manager’s changed the system in the last few games.”
