Fulham boss Chris Coleman paid testament to ‘worthy champions’ Chelsea, after Fulham’s 3-1 defeat to their neighbours.
Coleman felt his side deserved more out of a hard-fought game, but believes that Chelsea are the best team in both England and the UEFA Champions League.
“I think we deserved to get something out of the game, Chelsea showed they are worthy champions,” said Coleman.
“I still think we need one win to make certain of staying up but what has cost us this season has been inconsistency.”
When questioned as to whether Chelsea can win the Champions League as well as the domestic title, Coleman said: “Why not? No disrespect to Liverpool, but I think the other two semi-finalists will be hoping that Liverpool beat Chelsea as Chelsea are the best team.”
