Steed Malbranque could be back in the Fulham line-up to take on Spurs.

The French midfielder has been out for more than a month after suffering an ankle injury.

But Malbranque, 25, is poised to play for the reserves against Arsenal’s second string tonight.

And if he comes through unscathed, he could be named in the squad for Saturday’s trip to White Hart Lane.

Malbranque has not featured for Chris Coleman’s side since he hobbled out of the victory over West Brom at Craven Cottage on January 16.

Club physio Jason Palmer said: “Steed has made a very good recovery from his ankle injury and returned to training in the latter stages of last week.

“We hope he will participate in the reserve game against Arsenal and he should be available for first-team selection following that.”

Malbranque, who signed from Lyon for £5million in 2001, has bagged four goals this season.
