Chris Coleman is hoping to sign veteran central defender Mark Fish from Charlton Athletic, according to the Sunday People.

The Fulham boss believes the South African international could provide experienced cover for his injury-ravaged defence as well as helping to develop young centre halves Zat Knight and Zesh Rehman at Craven Cottage.

The 30 year-old has plenty of top flight experience has amassed more than a hundred league appearances for both Bolton and the Addicks. It remains to be seen if Charlton would allow one of their most popular players to leave the Valley.
